Working to 'wash away' animal suffering by knitting dishcloths for animal rescue.

The Dishcloth Damsel is a HUGE supporter of not just our rescue, but of rescues all around the city. Proceeds from all sales are given to the rescue to help with our never ending battle to stop the over-population.

Each piece is hand-stitched with locally thrifted floss, and backed with vegan felt made from 100% recycled plastic bottles. All pieces are thoroughly inspected by her two rabbits, who believe deeply in quality control and carrying a strong work ethic. 

Happily stitched slow in small batches, her hoops are small, strange, stitched to provoke, and always carry a mile-long story.”

String & Strands is a local Winnipeg based Fibre Artist specializing in handcrafted

pieces for home decor. These pieces include wall hangings in macrame, macraweave

and mixed media as well as macrame plant hangers and mug coasters. 

Naturally

sourced driftwood used in the wall hangings comes from the beaches of Lake Winnipeg.

Smaller wall hangings include the ever popular macrame feathers and leaves. Other

items are macrame keychains, lanyards, seasonal ornaments and car charms.
