Mimosa, but responds to Mouse, is a fabulous little happy girl. She loves to cuddle, belly rubs, play, explore and be with her people - Whatever you’re doing is what she wants to be doing.
Mimosa is good with dog savvy cats.
She has settled in with my dogs for the most part, but because she does love *her* people she can get growly when the other dogs come near us. A quick correction and having her move to the floor for a break settles that. She is also very mouthy during play and most of my dogs don’t appreciate that play style which is tough for her as well.
Her ideal home would be as a solo pet but she can coexist with most dogs after some time to settle and with some management.
Mimosa does have a lot of feelings when it comes to strange people and dogs so she can be reactive. She can usually be called off and refocus with some treats. This is something we continue to work on and she is making some decent progress, but she will need an owner willing to commit to her training and helping her grow.
Mimosa is said to be an escape artist so a secure yard or tether is needed with constant supervision while outside. She rides well in the car, we also use a tether there to play it safe. She walks pretty well on leash after the first couple minutes of initial excitement. She does well being eft home alone, either crated or loose, and does excitement piddle when you come home (she really just loves *her* people!).
She does shed and will get a decent amount of fur brushed out of her all the time; she is very good with being groomed.
Mimosa will make a fantastic companion for the right person.

Kramer is a very affectionate and smart dog. He is a great companion, good with older dog savy kids and well-mannered pets. In a short time, he became comfortable with his foster family, which led to snuggles on the couch, playfulness, and a protective nature for his home and people. He never misses a meal and is definitely food motivated. He is house trained, but getting used to a new home comes with a few accidents, if you pay attention to his que (sniffing, circling, and waiting by the doors), he will happily go outside to relieve himself. He wears a belly band inside the house for marking, which has not been an issue since the first couple of days. He loves to talk and tell you he needs affection and love, sounding like playful growls and funny noises. Very entertaining, the more belly rubs he gets the more he will tell you he loves them.
But as with all of us, he is not perfect and needs a little correction when meeting new people. He is protective and curious, which comes across as barks and lunging to take a sniff. He needs work with Males. We help Kramer with this by socializing and putting him on a leash when new people come around. After a few minutes, he's calm, and the next time he sees them, he remembers their scent. He's gentle when taking treats and hasn't had an issue with people nearby him while he is eating. But if fur siblings don't eat quickly enough, Kramer will polish off whatever is left in their dish, and be persistent at helping himself. He also loves when you are cooking, the smells make him excited. He needs to be reminded that people food is for people.
He would benefit from regular walks and exercise as he has lots of energy. He is completely kennel trained and retreats to the kennel with a little treat when he is asked or when it's time for bed. During the day, he's kenneled, and there are no kennel accidents on a full work day. At night he likes a blanket over his kennel to help him fall asleep, and stays quiet. He has grown quite fond of his foster family, including his foster brother, a miniature Dachshund. They play very well together, as his foster brother is very patient, calm, and submissive. When either one needs space, they are happy to leave eachother be. He likes bones to chew on and plush toys with a squeaker, but do know he will destroy them as Terriers do! He has not chewed or ruined anything else in the house that wasn't his to chew, he loves his toys.
He knows basic commands such as, no, down, stay, come, leave it. Hasn't quite figured out sit on command.
Kramer is ready for his furever home!
