Mimosa, but responds to Mouse, is a fabulous little happy girl. She loves to cuddle, belly rubs, play, explore and be with her people - Whatever you’re doing is what she wants to be doing.
Mimosa is good with dog savvy cats.
She has settled in with my dogs for the most part, but because she does love *her* people she can get growly when the other dogs come near us. A quick correction and having her move to the floor for a break settles that. She is also very mouthy during play and most of my dogs don’t appreciate that play style which is tough for her as well.
Her ideal home would be as a solo pet but she can coexist with most dogs after some time to settle and with some management.
Mimosa does have a lot of feelings when it comes to strange people and dogs so she can be reactive. She can usually be called off and refocus with some treats. This is something we continue to work on and she is making some decent progress, but she will need an owner willing to commit to her training and helping her grow.
Mimosa is said to be an escape artist so a secure yard or tether is needed with constant supervision while outside. She rides well in the car, we also use a tether there to play it safe. She walks pretty well on leash after the first couple minutes of initial excitement. She does well being eft home alone, either crated or loose, and does excitement piddle when you come home (she really just loves *her* people!).
She does shed and will get a decent amount of fur brushed out of her all the time; she is very good with being groomed.
Mimosa will make a fantastic companion for the right person.

This lovely young lady likely needs no introduction, but say hello to Mia! She comes to you with the brains of a shepherd, the silly energy of a husky, and good looks from both!
Mia got off to a rough start, coming in severely underweight at just 27 lbs, only about half what she should be. After joining her foster family, she undertook a rigorous refeeding program to make sure her body could take the sudden influx of nutrients. She started putting on weight almost immediately, and consistently. Her vet visits have been glowing and she was able to get in for a full bath/groom/spa day. The groomer raved about how relaxed and sweet Mia was, and she came out looking like a million bucks, with a thick, pillowy coat!
Despite a tough start, Mia is such a happy girl! She's become quite the energetic, bouncy pupper! She is very focussed on her people, and as such is a fabulous walker. She responds well to only light adjustments on leash, and regularly checks in with the person walking her. Mia still gets a little distracted by people and other dogs on walks, and occasionally gets nervous if traffic is heavy, but she's been improving with every outing. Pro tip: appealing to her stomach goes a long way in helping her learn!
Mia likes to play with a ball, and isn't destructive with other toys. Her recall is excellent, and didn't even have to be trained. She'll come to her name, but a whistle works best! She learned "sit" really quickly, but wants to know she's getting something in return. Whether that's a treat or some pets, she's not picky, but she does want to know what's on the table. Because she was so malnourished when she came in, she was an avid "counter surfer", but now that she knows her next meal won't be long, along with learning standard house rules like "leave it," "off" and "back up," this has become a thing of the past. Mia's potty training is rock solid, she learned this over the course of just a couple of days. She doesn't "ask" to go out yet, but she'll pace back and forth between the door and her people until they get the hint. When it's time to settle down, handing Mia her favorite Nylabone or dental chew has become her cue, and she'll find a soft bed and happily pass the time.
Mia is best friends with her foster family's big dog. She is mouthy when she plays with other dogs, but doesn't ever bite down or injure and is very gentle, and provides plenty of play-sneezes and husky-chattering to let her playmates know she's having fun. Mia isn't really aware that she's, in fact, a big dog, so her play style is a little too rough and intimidating for the little dogs in the house. She has only had a few short interactions with kids on her walks, but seems to adore them. Older kids and/or dog-savvy kids would be a better fit particularly while she's figuring out where her very-long limbs are, only recently gaining the strength to keep them all moving together. With proper supervision and enough treats on hand, she'll adapt quickly to almost any family situation. She hasn't been tested with cats, but given her interactions with small dogs, cats would likely need to be dog-savvy.
The best fit for Mia would be a family that gives her lots of walks and exercise. While a playmate would be ideal, she could be an only dog with enough time and patience to help her adjust, or in a work-from-home situation. With some exercise, she's a wonderfully calm dog. That sweet face in all her pictures is exactly who she is, with a big dose of personality and a fun spirit. The perky ears fold flat back when Mia wants some pets, or even just happy to see you, and it'll melt your heart! She does get very attached to people that care for her, play with her and take her on adventures, so Mia's family will be getting a supremely smart, loyal, loving and silly companion.

Drum roll, please......introducing Arnie! This beautiful boy is an absolute love bug and ready for adoption. He doesn't have a mean bone in his body. He loves other dogs and is very food motivated. He is about 7 months old, neutered and UTD on his shots. He had also had his first dose of Nexgard. We aren't sure of his breed, the vet thinks some border collie, which would make sense because he is very smart! He is house trained and will whine if he needs to 'go'. He knows sit, off, no and working on shake a paw and down. He is rambunctious, after all, he is a puppy and after his tough start to life, he is learning how to have fun. He walks well on the leash but has a fear of vehicles. Once he's in, you don't even know he's there as he curls up and sleeps. He is kennel trained and will sleep there all night. Sometimes he will whine but he does settle. He is also in the kennel when we go out because he will chew things he's not supposed to (puppy!). While he hasn't been exposed to cats or children we don't think there would be an issue with either. He has learned to respect boundaries.
