 Mazy is gorgeous, opinionated, and loves cuddles. She's outgoing and assertive, occasionally hissing at the resident cat she sees on the other side of the door to let them know to stay out of her space.

Mazy is mostly "eh" on cat toys and treats in her foster home but she lives off affection (Personal space? Never heard of her). Mazy certainly brings a bigger energy that demands to be seen. She chirps at the squirrels and will be the first to investigate any changes in the neighbourhood. One of the house people calls her affectionately a "dancing bear" as Mazy will stand of her hind legs if that's what it takes to get your love.

Our sweet Mr. Limpy is looking for a very special family. Could it be you?

Approximately a year ago, Limpy was seen on his fosters porch camera eating with the other neighborhood strays.
After being watched for a while it was noticed he had some sort of injury to his front paw and was limping.
After trying for quite some time, Mr. Limpy was trapped! This is how he got his name.

He was taken to the vet to get treatment for his sore paw as well as Neutered, vaccinated and dewormed.
To heal he stayed in a 2 story cage, he was not doing well, he wouldn't eat and seemed extremely unhappy and depressed and angry, no one could touch him.
So once he was healed he was released back to the porch.

Fast forward to winter, it was so cold so the foster decided to trap and keep all the strays indoor for the winter. Mr. LIMPY was 1st to be trapped and released into the fosters basement.

Limpy appeared to be a semi feral cat, he would growl and hiss if you got close to him. Eventually, after a few weeks he started rubbing up on their legs when it was food time, but couldn't pet him as he'd attack your hand, you also couldn’t walk away from him cause he'd attack your legs and feet...as time went on and he kept attacking legs and feet he was put into a very large cage where his foster would go in with him and spend time with him.

He decided he loved getting pets from her and would purr and cuddle up. He does still get over stimulated and bite(not hard) and grab (without claws) your hands. He is extremely loving and a wonderful cat, but only to one person. He will hiss growl and attack the legs of any other person.

Limpy needs a special home with one human or a couple willing to put in the work to earn Mr.Limpys love. He does well with other cats but can play rough. He is fine with little dogs if they leave him alone.
He plays with toys when he is alone, he hasn't yet played toys with his foster.

He is a big loveable Bear when he finds his person.

It was a pleasure to host Ava once again! Upon hearing she was returning to the rescue (not being her fault) we were quick to scoop her up. This time around Ava came back overweight.

Due to her size, she is unable to clean her backend resulting in her needing extra assistance involving a quick wipe with a warm cloth. We have been working on reducing her weight, which means closely following the feeding guidelines and daily playtime of 20-30 min. It’s always a pleasure to have Ava, she is super laidback and an overall very easy cat to care for. She will follow you around the house and will chatter with you when she wants to pet. As she continues to get comfortable, she is starting to get the zoomies which is very funny and rewarding to see. She also enjoys playing with wand toys and has tried engaging play with our other cats. Her all-time favorite though is spending her time lying belly up snoozing in the sun. She has yet to climb into our laps but enjoys being near us. Given Ava returns to a healthier weight, she is a low maintenance cat and would make a great roommate! Her current roommates are loud and busy which she’s still adjusting to, she would prefer a less busy and quieter household but who wouldn’t though!

I am the tiniest girl with the silkiest fur and a tail that was broken and now has a cute floop at the end to add to my charm. I enjoy being petted or brushed, but dislike pawdicures. I love to cuddle with my cat friends and would do well with other cat company.

I do love to talk now that I have learned to meow but mostly I chirp and chortle. My favourite toys are cat wands and that elusive red dot that I’m going to catch someday. I love chasing mice on my iPad and watching my foolish brothers chase bubbles.

I am a very hardworking girl. I like to be involved in anything household related: from folding laundry, stacking the dishwasher, making beds and most definitely preparing meals. I have taken on many duties. I do security monitoring from my window perch. I greet all guests. I inspect every bag and box entering the home. I help with putting away groceries as well as ensuring all cupboards and the refrigerator are kept neat and tidy. I also provide tuck in and wake up services. 

My most important task is taking care of the humans. I’m afraid they’re not very intelligent and I have to constantly act as an escort so they don’t get lost. Alarmingly, they keep trying to drown themselves in that bathtub thing and I have to be their lifeguard.

I have met dogs and am curious about them but as yet have not gone out of my way to make friends. Little people alarm me so I would probably do better with older children. I drink from a bowl or fountain and my litter box manners are meticulous.

Oh hi there! My name is Tang and I’ve been in foster care with my mom for 6 whole months now! I’m originally from the Orange Cat Colony that was rescued last July. Here are some facts about me from my foster mom:

I LOVE other cats, like adore them to no end. They make me feel safe and secure, other cats were all I knew in the first part of my life. I would be called a cat’s cat because of this. I also LOVE to play. Foster mom calls me a tomboy because I’m a rough and tumble kinda girl. I love to wrestle with the other cats!

I also LOVE to eat and I’m always meowing at foster mom to hurry up! When it’s dinner time. I have a very soft voice but boy do I use it when mom is too slow. I’m also first in line when it’s “snack time”, I love my temptation treats! Mom says I would make a good hockey goalie because I love to slap the treats down when mom throws them. I get them every time too!

I’m a clean cat that always uses the litter box and I love to relax and sleep on the couch, the cat beds, the cat tree and best of all, mom’s bed.

Here’s the one thing about me though. I’m still not accepting of pets. It still scares me. I’m always around and I will be the first one up on the bed when mom has a nap or is reading her book. He is very good with other cats yet still has an independent side. He also has a soft side where he loves to curl up beside his human or in the crook of their legs while they watch t.v. or drift off to sleep.

Once you’ve passed probation, she will demonstrate her approval with chirps to welcome you home, company for any indoor activities and a companion for watching Netflix. For the moment Aveline is more of a night cuddler, but there’s a lap cat in there just waiting to come out.

Her and her brother Clyde love to hold onto your fingers and hands with all their might when they are giving your hands kisses.

She loves to snuggle up in the kitty cuddle puddles or on your lap and just purr like there is no tomorrow. You could never tell from her cute, grouchy face that she was actually enjoying it! But, you can sure hear those purrs! She loves playing with the other cats in the house and can hold her own when wrestling! She gets such a determined little look on her face!

A quiet home would be the best for this girl – she’s not been around kids but, unless they were older and cat savvy, I think she may be a bit too timid for a noisy house! Hi! I’m Cardamom! 

I was born with a large hole in my heart. I had a cardiac ultrasound done and found that while I don’t need any treatment right now, this is something that will need to be monitored over time. There’s a chance it could lead to heart problems in the future, like heart failure. I will likely need annual cardiac ultrasounds for the rest of my life in hopes of catching changes early (and possibly put on meds to extend things). Due to the large hole in my heart, the specialist said it puts me at significant risk of a shorter lifespan—possibly around 2 to 7 years—but right now I’m happy, playful, and feeling great! I’ll need another heart ultrasound in about a year to check on things. I’m hoping to find a home that will love me just as I am and give me the cozy, joy-filled life every kitty deserves! 

Now, more about ME! I’m a tiny long haired ginger who is exceptionally sweet. I had kittens while I was still a kitten myself. Now that I’m done with mom duties, I’d really love to settle down in a home of my own. I love the resident pets in my foster home, especially the dog. I’ll follow him around and playfully wrestle with him every change I get. Humans are great too, the more the merrier.  When company comes over I’m happy to meet everyone. Array is looking for his very own home! Array has been working very diligently on overcoming his shyness and I'm so proud of him! When he first came to his foster home he did his best to hide and did not like making eye contact. When he finally looked right into my eyes all I saw was his longing to be accepted and loved. He really didn't know how to convey his needs to humans. So he will need an understanding family to support and encourage him while he adjusts to his new home and family. 

Array loves being near his brother and the resident cats and carefully watches their interactions with their family. He's very respectful to his older foster sibling, as well as the 3 special needs cats. He loves to play with our blind cat and is so careful with him. He loves wrestling, spring toys, interactive toys....well, he's a cat he will play with anything! 

He has been working on his cupboard door opening skills and is progressing alarmingly well with that.

He used to hiss a bit at being picked up but never fought it. Now he loves getting belly rubs, smooches and really, really likes to have his paw held while he naps. He's become a proficient kneader - any sleeping cat will be treated to a relaxing massage. He enjoys a good chat, loves to sit on window sills and will sleep right beside you - after he enthusiastically chews on your foot. You've been warned. 

Also hide the tp - I'm still finding shreds of tissue 1 week later.

So if you have the patience and willingness to help this sweet little boy become a confident velcro kitty, come and get him! If you want to add a respectful void to your brood then this is your cat! I'm not sure how he would do as an only cat but we don't have to find out if you adopt his brother Summit as well!

While Salsa has come a long way from the scared hissy kitten she started as, she is still very shy and will need a patient person to continue to teach her that humans can be loving and kind.
Salsa seems to be a little more confident when she is around her brother or sister, and she loves a good cuddle by the kitchen heat vent with the resident foster cat.
Salsa is good with other cats. She doesn’t like kids that move too quickly and will run away when startled, but with time and patience, she should be ok with them.

Hi my name is Prongs. I’m a beautiful and gentle 24-week-old girl who is learning that people are nice, as I came into rescue quite scared. I have been with my foster family for 8 weeks and have decided that my foster mom is trust worthy but I’m still testing the rest of the family. I’m very curious, brave, and so smart. I like to watch what the people in my house are doing, and I will ask my foster mom to pick me up so I can get a better look. 

My foster family call me Prongsy and I’m so smart that I know my name already! I have a tiny little meow that is sometimes silent, but when I purr the whole room can hear me. I love other cats so much, and I would really like my forever home to have another cat to help me build my confidence, trust people and to snuggle and play with. I have won over the resident cats at my foster home and will snuggle up to them as close as I can get, which is often on top of them. 

My favourite toy is my wand toy, which I love to drag around the house. I’m very food motivated and will happily climb on anyone’s lap for Temptations or Churru tubes. I enjoyed Christmas at my foster home and was good with the Christmas tree however I did like to find and play with the ribbons on the gifts. I’m excellent at using the litter box and having my nails cut while I enjoy a Churru tube.

S-s-sorry.. Hi… My name is Sugarpie. You caught me being the sweet, happy little girl I’m capable of being if you give me the chance.

See, I came in as a semi-feral, petrified kitty. I would freeze, hiss and occasionally swat. After quite some time I learned that pets do feel good and stopped turning to stone when my foster family pet me. I slowly pressed into the pets and loved receiving tube treats.

My foster family and visiting furry pals have helped me bloom into a tolerant and loving sweetie but do keep in mind I am still very skittish and shy… fast movements, loud noises, and too humans will make me bolt and hide. I am still not ready to be picked up, I won’t bite but it will stress me out and I will push away possibly clawing you in the process. If you need to move me momentarily, you can very carefully and gently pick me up by the nape of my neck like a kitten and I will remain calm but let’s try to avoid that all together

I found my voice and will let out teeny, tiny squawks letting you know I miss you and want pets. When you are calm I will come to you for pets, rub against you, and roll on to my back to show you my belly. I do like feet and will lick your toes… but you know, to each their own. I am very lady-like and agreeable when it comes to my bathroom manners and eating habits though!

I love playing with wand toys and other kitty friends. I’m very submissive and sweet to other cats and respect other kitties boundaries as they get used to me, I have never hissed or swatted at another cat. I might do well with a smaller doggy friend with proper intro. As for kids- well let’s just say they have to be calm, cool and collected or I’m going back to my hiding spot.

I’m hoping I find a small family or a single life partner that will be patient with me, as it will take some time getting used to a new place and not take it personally if I hiss or get TOO scared on the first day. My squeaks, rubs, and slow blinks are very well worth the wait.

Hi I'm Amaro, I'm only 8 months old but life has already been very scary for me. I lived on the streets of central Winnipeg with my brother Fin before I was brought into care of the rescue.

Adjusting to life with the humans has been hard for me. They are always trying to pick me up or touch me and I'm not always ready for that. I'm still learning to trust people but, I watch my brother getting scratches and cuddles and I can't lie, it looks pretty nice.

My foster dad says I have potential because I definitely have a playful side. Chasing toys of all kinds and balls are great but my true favorite is watching jets games with my foster parents. I love watching the players and the puck zoom around the screen.
I'm looking for a family to help me continue building trust and connections with people. I would love to be adopted with my brother Fin but it's not required, mostly because he's always eating my food! Jk I love him.
